ElectroMagnetic Radio is a progressive, community-oriented, free-form internet radio platform broadcasting globally “At The Speed of Sound”, 24 hours a day / 7 days a week at www.EM-Radio.com. ElectroMagnetic harkens back to an era of terrestrial radio when live DJs were both tastemakers and trusted sources for community news and information. Back in the day, Wireless (or possibly the battery-operated Farm Radios; maybe that big AM Console radio in the center of the living room; or even an art deco Tabletop AM radio out on the front porch…) drew family, friends, and travelers together to soak in news, a variety of entertainment, and thought-provoking conversation from both the local community and around the world. More recently, Community, College and Pirate Radio stations established themselves as a home and safe-spaces for progressive, socially active, anti-authoritarian broadcasting. As the voice of punk rock, hip-hop, and other local/underground music scenes, “alternative radio” fostered a community of “alternative” lifestyles and vocal countercultures. As such, independent stations proudly waved the anti-flag to mindless, mainstream, pre-programmed, corporate FM radio & commercial television of the 1980s and 1990s. In our current age of political chaos and the disturbing global shift towards rightwing politics & fascist fools, billionaire oligarchs and narcissist (orange!) clowns, ElectroMagnetic Radio stands firm in defense of Progressive, Pirate Radio values and voices. We are declaring an “Age of Resistance Radio” to present Diverse, Equitable, Inclusive, community-oriented content welcoming to ALL People from ALL Backgrounds. As the amazing Alicia Keys recently said, “DEI is not a threat; it’s a gift — and the more voices, the more powerful the sound.” HATE HAS NO HOME on ElectroMagnetic-Radio.
